Northern Vikings - Boys AAA
The Northern Vikings competed in Sudbury and came went to the quarterfinals where they lost to Denis O'Connor in a close match that ended with a final score of 2 - 1.

In their first game on Thursday they dropped a 3 - 0 lost against St. Pius X and went on and shut out St. Charles 1 - 0 in game two on the same day.

 

On Friday the Vikings tied St. Joseph that earned them a spot in the quarter final.

 

St. Christopher Cyclones - Boys AA

 

The St. Christopher Cycones traveled to Windsor for the Boys AA competition and  were eliminated after two days of play going 1 - 1 - 2 in the tournament.

 

The Cyclones lone win was against Corpus Christi with a final 2 - 1 score.  The two ties were both scoreless against Holy Cross and St. Michael.  Vaughan Road defeated them 1 - 0.
 

 

St. Patrick Fighting Irish - Boys A

The St. Patrick Fighting Irish was also in Windsor and in preliminary play earn the top spot in their pool with 2 wins and a loss.  The Irish took a 5 - 3 win over Smithville District and a 3 - 2 win over St. Thomas Aquinas.  In the losing game they lost a close 4 - 3 against the #2 pool winner E.S. Algonquin.  In the playoffs  they took a 6 - 2 win over Pere Rene de Galinee and earned a spot in the semi final round where they went up against Guido deBres and lost 2 - 1.

 


St. Christopher Cylcones Girls AA - Sarnia

The St. Christopher Ladies went undefeated in pool play earning the #1 spot in their pool.  The took shut out wins against St. Theresa (2-0), Oakwood (2-0) and Holy Trinty (3 - 0) and tied Bishop Strachan (2 - 2). In the quarter finals the Cyclones defeated St. Basil 2 - 0 and moved on tot he semi's and lost their first game of the tournament to Franco-Ouest with a close 1 - 0 final.  The Cyclones then went on to play for the Bronze Medal against St. Paul's and lost 3 - 1.

 

Northern Viking Girls AAA - Windsor

 

The Northern Viking Girls were in Windsor and earned 2nd spot in their pool to move onto the quarter round.  The Vikings took wins over R. S. McLaughlin 3 - 0 and Regiopolis-Notre Dame 1 - 0 and tied against St. Ignatius S.S. 1 - 1 and Southwood S.S. 1 - 1.  In the quarter final the Vikings defeated Mary’s H.S. 4 - 1 and moved on to the Semi final where they won 4 - 1 against Iona Catholic from Mississauga to give the team a spot in the Gold Medal Game.  In the championship game they earned a Silver Medal after dropping a 2 - 0 loss against St. Paul High School from Niagara.
