SWEDEN VS SLOVAKIA

Sweden earned it’s first win on Tuesday after taking a solid 7 – 0 win over Slovakia in the only afternoon game on Tuesday in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Sweden scored 3 goals in the first and added 4 more in the second and were held off the scoreboard in the third.

William Fallstrom led Sweden with 2 goals and Aleander Nylander scored 1 goal and added 2 assist to earn 3 points in the game.  Other goal scorers included Alexander Andersson, Pontus Karlsson, Tim Wahlgren and Linus Weissbach.

Sweden outshot Slovakia 35-21. Netminder Filip Gustavsson earned the win and shut out made 21 saves.  Jan Koziak and David Hrenak shared the duties for Slovakia.

Sweden and Slovakia ended in 3rd and 4th and Sweden will now face Canada White at 7:00 pm at the RBC Centre and Slovakia will go up against Finland in the afternoon at 3:00 pm also at RBC.
