Groombridge Fifth Canadian Win

Sarnia native Andrew Groombridge had four Canadian Championships before, but this win was something special. Groombridge, the trainer for Halton Hills Bulldogs and soon to be inductee of the Lambton Sarnia Sports Hall of Game was there with his team after the passing of his mother on Wednesday August 18.

Groombridge will be honoured with an induction into the Lambton Sarnia Sports Hall of Fame after years of Sports training that started back in 1974. The Special Achievement award will be presented to him for his years of significant contributions to sports beyond athletics. Over the years he had participated in 31 National Championships in Canada and the United States in Lacrosse, Hockey and Fastpicth-Softball and also participated in 18 World Championships as well.
