Sarnia St.
Clair graduate Shaun Bisson is a
freshman on the Cross Country/ Track and
Field Team at Charleston Southern
University in South Carolina. The teams
are currently preparing for the Big
South Conference Championships at High
Point University to be held October
31/09. On a team that has not faired the
greatest in recent years, Bisson is
playing a large role in building a
competitive men's squad that will
certainly improve on performances from
years past and the Buccaneers will look
to finish among the top 5/6 teams in the
conference.
Coach Ryan
Thompson has this to say about Shaun.
"Shaun's mere presence, amongst the
team, has already elevated the distance
program to a higher level of
competition. He has come into the
program, established himself as the
number 2 man and continues to put
pressure on our number 1 runner-Andrew
King, as he gets stronger and adapts to
the intensity of training and racing in
a new environment. Shaun and I both have
high expectations for his performances,
and while some would fold under the
pressure, Shaun remains focused. Besides
the athletic success, Shaun has become
an outspoken leader with the guys"
