2012 Builders Award

This award recognizes significant contributions in the establishment of a sport from its infancy
 to the mature state within the community; would have been the individual to keep a sport alive in the community and have a  long-term service on sport committees and executive positions either at the local, provincial or national levels.
 


Jake VanRooyen
Bluewater Anglers

 

Jake has been a member of the Bluewater Anglers since 2001.  During that time he served as President for four years.  He also served as Assistant Hatchery Manager and Hatchery Manager coordinating the hatchery operation at the 5,000 Sq. ft. facility located in Point Edward.  From 2003 – 2010 Jake was the Hatchery Tour Coordinator operating tours of the Hatchery in March and April when the hatchery is at full capacity. 

 

Jake is a member of the Lake Huron Fish Advisory committee and works closely with the Ministry of Natural Resources on matters concerning the Lake Huron Sport Fishery.
