Team Award – 1962 Jr. Knights Football
The Team Award is a group award in recognition for winning a major championship or a team performing inan outstanding manner over a period of time.
In 1962 the Sarnia Jr. Knights won the League Title with a win over Windsor AKO. They went on and defeated the Toronto Lakeshore Bears 19 – 0 to win the Ontario Junior ORFU Championship, the first team to bring back the Ontario Championship since 1934. They went on and competed at the Eastern Canadian Finals where they were finalist losing to Montreal NDG, Maple leafs.
