Bert Baldwin

Bert was very involved in both playing and at the administrative level in fastball in Sarnia particularly during the 60’s & 70’s.

Beginning in 1963, he sat on the Executive of the Sarnia Softball Association and was president of the Bluewater Softball League, the Sarnia Softball Association and the Sarnia-Port Huron Fastball Association.

He also served as treasurer of the Bluewater Fastball League for many years. He was also very active as Manager of the Bopra Trucking Ball Club and served as Coach of the Sarnia Glis in the International Fastball League.

Bert was a member of the City’s Umpiring Staff from 1970 and continued to be a volunteer ump right thru into the 90’s.
